FTC 2016 Day 11

Hardy is the first ETT'er to reach over 100k this competition!  We have a clear leader in Hardy at the moment with a very impressive 156k.
Second position is being fought out by Andy S and Diggy with 88k and 85k respectively. Keep up the great work guys.
Tomasz, Julie, Joe S, Ken M, Andy L, Mike F, Jim and Jonathan have all rowed between 70k - 50k which is good going for day 11 of the challenge. Julie is currently the top performing female in the team!
Les, Rob D, Dave A, Karen, Bhavesh, Mike B, Alex, Ian, John D, Tim, Rob P, Caroline, Norman, Evan, Mike S and Barb have all contributed between 40k - 30k so far.
Mark B, Duncan, Edward, Mike Sc, Milan, John B, Peter, John F, Neil, Ellie, Bouke, Richard, Jan, Rob A, Toni and Mark K have each added between 30k - 3k.
Unfortunately, as a team we have dropped to 14th position with Team Canada just a few metres ahead of us today.
On a positive note out of 47 ETT'er who have signed up 43 of you have contributed metres which is excellent.

What do you eat to fuel your rowing session?

Those long time readers of the blog will know I love a good bowl of roasted sweet potatoes to fuel my exercise. I sometimes make some vanilla oat pancakes post-workout depending on the type of session I rowed.

Do you have a specific food you scoff before a work out?
Please share in the comments below.

August CTC Update and September Challenges

Hello folks! I hope you have had a great summer / winter break over August.

We floated two boats in the August Cross Team Challenge which was a rather interesting interval-of-sorts challenge of 500m, 400m, 300m, 200m, 100m that could be rowed at any time during the month from a standing start. The average of which had to be added to create a final tally....

A big thank you to the following team mates who got two boats in the points rankings:

28 pts
Empty the Tanks I6:20.0
Joseph Smyntek (H)
Galeere (H)
Kenneth Murdoch (H)
Rob Drury (L)
Eloisa Murdoch (F)

3 pts
Empty the Tanks II7:46.1
Mike Bode (H)
Jonathan Turns ETT (H)
Bill_Schmidt (L)
Caroline Joynson (L)
Amelia Jean (F)
The Cross Team Challenge for September is a simple ten minute row no restrictions set by Tribesports.

The Fall Team Challenge starts in twelve days time. Have you signed up yet?
Don't worry there is still time!
Go to your C2 logbook and click on the challenges page. There will be the Fall Team Challenge listed there and all you have to do to join in is to follow the links to sign up!

Row as many metres as you can between the 15th September and the 15th October 2016. Upload you metres to contribute to the team total.
We have historically done very well in the Fall Team Challenge and with an aim to beat our 2015 position of 9th place out of 271 teams we ask for everybody to give it a go. Every metre counts.

Looking forward to rowing with you all from the 15th September onwards!
