OK, so a half marathon was probably about 10k too far for me given my lack of training run up.1:50:19.5I doubt I'll be able to walk tomorrow.
Hope you manage to hobble to work tomorrow. OK so it wasn't your best ever time but you have added another 21k to the ETT totals for today : )Maybe we should do this again for the WEC in March / April because it would give team mates time for some HM specific training!
I can add that my best, back in 2011 as 1:35:24.4
Hi all. Felt the pressure and since its a public holiday today did my HM for the ETT challenge. Failed on the PB with a time of 1.39.07.7. Fortunately it was a Horrible Histories marathon on ABC kids tv today which kept me entertained throughout.Have also managed to acquire a new blister on my left hand. Better that then my backside I suppose.Good luck to everyone else on their HM attempts. Cheers Karyn

Hi All! Well first off, congratulations to anyone who has completed a HM this month and great job to anyone who managed to post a PB with little preparation! Big hats off to Nick W especially – smashed his PB and I hear hit some weight loss goals too….great stuff, seems like those thousands of metres in the seat are really paying off – keep it up!My HM not scheduled in until Friday – just need to remember it’s not a marathon practice (as I am in the middle of marathon training), so much as a PB attempt. OK - completely hit the wall in my training session last night - was only able to complete 45 minutes out of planned 60. Now feeling completely shattered and my nose is telling me I might have a cold lingering.....felt like I couldn't breathe right last night - not great for HM on Friday! I have a couple of days rest now before Friday's attempt, so fingers crossed some good eating, some good hydration, and some good sleep (!!), and I'll be fit for the best I can do.....Matt C

Hi everyone and well done! I'm going to have to pull out of the HM challenge this month I'm afraid- I had a bit of an injury last week doing a 16k prep row that despite resting a couple of days hasn't got better and I don't want to make it worse. And then I've come down with a nasty throat/sinus/chest thing that's kept me off the rower (and work) this week. Means my 200k target fell away rapidly too, I'm not sure I'll get any more metres down this month unfortunately. Keep up the good work everyone though and hope you a well earned rest/pig out this weekend!
