Good Luck

A big good luck message goes out to two Empty the Tanks team mates who have been training for competitions that take place this weekend:

David J is competing in the Mile High Sprints in Colorado, USA on Saturday - hope the knee and hip hold up, I am sure you will give it your best shot.

Mark B will be rowing at the EIRC (English Indoor Rowing Championships) in Manchester, UK at 09:30 on Sunday - all the best for a PB.

  1. I took a full second off my best 30-minute pace to win the 1/2 Hour Race with a 7,971m @ 1:52.9. Luckily, the college kids sat this race out. :)

In the 40-49 age group, I came in 4th or 5th in the 2,000m with a 7:05.8, which was 2.5 seconds slower than my best. My quest to row a sub-7-minute 2K at altitude continues...

    Good luck tomorrow, Mark!

  2. Well done David, great to hear you won your race. Sadly I feel I will be 30 seconds too slow to win mine, but anything near my BIRC PB of 6:33 will be a plus since I had muscle problems all this week, restricting any chances to train. I'm just hoping my 10k PB last week means I'm in good shape now that my legs seem to have stopped aching! Why do we put ourselves through this?!
